* Moonlight Ballroom - One of the largest dance halls in the country built in 1924. Every Big Band and Popular Singer appeared at the Ballroom and their performances were broadcast on the radio in the Canton area by Dick Waco. The Ballroom burned down in 1979 shortly after an appearance of the Glenn Miller Orchestra which was booked by Waco, still an active radio broadcaster today. You can listen to him on Saturday mornings from 9-1 pm on WCER, 900 AM.
Look for dancers from the Canton Fred Astaire Studio at the event this year. They make it look easy! Don't miss it!
